I went for my Nuchal Translucency Scan yesterday but it didn't go as planned.
I was lying on the reclining scanning chair for what seemed to be ages.
Baby is doing fine. Saw it's arms and legs moving and waving about!
But the main purpose of the scan was to measure the fluid under the baby's neck.
As little Beh Beh wouldn't co-operate with us, the Sonographer couldn't get an accurate measurement.
In the end, after spending 30mins on the chair, I'm now scheduled for a Triple Test. It's a blood test for Down's Syndrome done at 16 weeks.
It's still un-real to me at the moment that there is a baby growing in my belly! The only way I realise that "I AM pregnant!" is looking at the screen, a baby shaped form with waving arms and kicking legs! When there is no screen to look at, it all feels surreal again...
